I cut my index finger and thumb, a couple of weeks ago, on my right hand, so I couldn't be in work as I'm a typist, I went to see the nurse to get my bandages removed a week later, who said she wanted to leave the strips on, as she felt it was too soon to remove. I explained to her that I had reduced feeling in the top of my thumb, to no response. I called up to get an extended sick note as the strips still needed to be left on, reception said someone would call me, I get a text saying I need an appointment to discuss , called up the next day for an appointment, and then had the Dr call me, explained and she said it was fine, also mentioned to the Dr that I had little feeling in my thumb, again nothing. Went yesterday to get the strips removed from the pharmacy, as soon as I mentioned little feeling, her response was, you need to see a Dr as you could have nerve damage especially as it's been like that nearly 2 weeks. Called up today for an appointment, and was told by a very abrupt receptionist, that it's only one appointment a week, and I had one in Wednesday, so can't say if I'll get a call back, I explained it was for a sick note, and that actually something may have been missed when I spoke to the nurse and Dr, her response, you may get a triage call, but can't say, as it's just one appointment a week. It's absolutely ridiculous, a Doctor surgery saying one appointment a week, never heard so much nonsense!
