"A & E DEPARTMENT NEED TO HAVE ..."

About: Furness General Hospital

(as a relative),

What could be improved

A & E DEPARTMENT NEED TO HAVE TRAINING TO EVALUATE BABIES CONDTION SHOWING SYMPTOMS OF HIGH TEMPERATURE A DEVELOPING RASH AND GENERAL FEELING OF UNWELL INSTEAD OF REFUSING TO SEE THE CHILD.

A WORRIED PARENT PRESENTING A BABY WITH THESE SYMPTONS SHOULD NEVER BE TURNED AWAY. STAFF ATTITUDES LEAVE A LOT TO BE DESIRED.

Thank you for posting a comment on our A&E department at Furness General. We are sorry that you did not receive the care you expected and we are additionally sorry for our slow response to your comment, which is due to an email alert error. If you would like to discuss the improvements we have made to our A&E service, please call our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01539 795497.
