"Made a horrible time for us much easier"

About: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Medical Paediatrics (Children's Medicine) Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Paediatric Assessment Unit (Children's Assessment Unit)

(as a parent/guardian),

Just wanted to say how amazing all of the staff were at the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital, the assessment unit and the medical ward.

Our little girl was really unwell, they acted really quickly when we came in, and everyone caring for her were so lovely.   We stayed in for 2 nights and saw a lot of different nurses/doctors, they made a horrible time for us much easier, they couldn’t have been better.

Dear thubanjf58

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback following your daughter's admission to the children's hospital.

Recognition of a sick child is an important part of the training for all staff working with children as they can't usually tell us what is wrong. I am pleased to read that your daughter was quickly treated when she was so unwell and that you were supported by all the staff during what must have been a difficult time for you all.

I hope that your daughter is on the mend and back to her normal self and will make sure that the staff receive a copy of your feedback to acknowledge the positive impact they had on your experience.
