I had my first baby November 2017 at Sunderland royal. I can not fault the maternity department at all from start to finish. Throughout my whole pregnancy I have been given outstanding care, support and advice.
While in labour, I can not fault the midwifes at all, they were all brilliant. I had a hard labour and ended up with a emergency section, the staff talked me through the process and made me feel at ease. The anaesthetists were brilliant while giving my my epidural and were so patient with a very tired, stressed patient. They even visited me the next day to meet my beautiful daughter ( as did a lot of the midwives and theatre staff). I honestly can not reccomend the maternity department enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you for such a lovely positive experience.
My community midwife as been a a godsend since giving birth, they deserve a medal! I have been a worried first time mum, who Has stressed over every little thing. My community midwife has been there to give me advice, support and guidance. They honestly are amazing.
Over all I just cannot thank all the staff enough for my wonderful experience and helping me bring my beautiful daughter into the world.
"Excellent care"
