"Difficulties with my prescription."

About: Adult Mental Health and Learning Disabilities / Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Services Northfield Medical Centre

(as the patient),

Im nearly out of my antidepressent tablets. The nearest appointment I can get is over a weeka way otherwise they tell you to cue up at 8. 30am,   Now I have accute anxiety, depression, agrophobia, I find it hard enough to ring them,   I did send a message to them saying im nearly out it took them 3 days to reply back saying I needed to see a doctor,   only saw the doctor last month.
I have been on this medication for 2 years I used to get a repeat but they increased the dose and I've been on this dose now for months,   All of this is making me more anxious the reason I didnt as per usual do my monthley appointment is cause of receiving a call regarding my benefits, which kinda mucked up my anxiety, (they are coming out to see me). I cant stand in a cue at 8. 30am I get so paranoid, and I also get very tired,  I feel the doctors do not take me seriousley,   they have not tested for other things and I still have the same symtoms.

Years ago I went to The cedars I did have CBT but couldnt concentrate, I feel like if I dont fit into their box its goodbye. I do try, to help myself but some days or weeks are really bad. I can when I feel ok get out,   but they dont understand so I shall be left with no tablets. Its not like ive tried, I just get a blank wall from the receptionist which I called, I said to them ok then I wont have my tablets they said ok thats it.

Northfield Medical Centre have asked Care Opinion to post this response on their behalf:

"We are very disappointed to receive your comments regarding your recent experience at our practice and are sorry that you had difficulties in obtaining your prescription.

We offer a variety of ways of booking GP appointments to suit all of our patients. These include booking via our on line services – either on the day or in advance. This may be a preferred option for you rather than telephoning or visiting the surgery? We also offer telephone appointments If you would prefer to speak to a GP rather than a face to face consultation?

If you would like to contact the practice to speak to one of the management team, we can discuss your experience and ways of booking appointments that might be preferable to you, where you are able to request your medication in a timely manner."
