I visited the outpatient department this morning for an ent apt.
I have been told that I have chronic sinusitis in the past already undergone surgery and extensive treatment.
Today I was spoken to like I was stupid and I didn't know what I was talking about.
I had already been seen in another clinic with a view to having more surgery to correct the nasal septum which has moved over to one side causing pain and discharge from the nose.
According to the consultant I had the misfortune of seeing today told me the pain, thick green smelly mucus and the swelling I have had up to 8 times a year is nothing more than a headache.
My gp has no right to diagnose it as sinusitis and the other ent clinic I went to are not qualified enough to discuss treatment options with me.
I left the room in tears today as I went with an open mind for help and advice, I left feeling that I had been ignored.
The consultant refused to even let me speak putting their hand upto me and rolling his eyes.
"Total waste of time"
