I felt a shortness of breath, unable to walk due to severe joint pain and just feeling like death. It all escalated last night. Started to get tight, squeezing sensation around my chest and up through my neck. This combined with severe joint pain in pretty much of my joints pushed me to call 111. The lady on the phone was awesome, being very patient with me as I couldn’t talk too well due to pain and SOB. Towards the end of the phonecall she informed me an Emergency Ambulance was enroute. The SWAST RV arrived first and was shortly followed by an Emergency Ambulance. In no time I was at Treliske and under the care of a fantastic team, they noted all the details and at the point started to build a care plan. Pain relief and oxygen were given which helped lots. Through the very early part of the morning and into the late morning everyone was doing their best to ensure I was taken care of. Doctor Simpson was the first Doctor I was approached by, simple fantastic! Addressing my concerns and offering a treatment plan which was soon put into motion. I left around lunch time feeling much better than when I arrived having received outstanding care from Doctor Simpson, Doctor Frederick (I think) and all the wonderful Nurses and support staff. If Carlsberge did Hospitals, today would have been their day. Thank you so much 😎
