"An incredibly empowering experience"

About: Community mental health services / Recovery College

(as a service user),

I have just finished the 10 week course 'Telling your Story' at the Recovery College and I wanted to say how brilliant it was. It was such a well designed course and the trainers were great. They were so kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, worked really well together and made sure that everyone in the group was able to contribute. 

It wasn't an easy course and it really challenged me at points, but in a good way and it gave me space to reflect upon 'my story'. It has been an incredibly empowering experience and I feel proud that I was able to stand up in front of the group and share my final piece. I hope it time I might be able to share it with my family and close friends so that I can tell them my story.
