"Poorly toddler"

About: Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust

After being advised by 111 I drove my daughter & her poorly toddler from Ripon through to Harrogate A&E dept.

We expected it to be very busy & a long as wait as it was Friday evening. Very impressed with the receptionist's welcome & the speed of their checking our particulars. Had a little bit of a wait as expected & was then seen by a very kind, triage nurse who checked out thoroughly our poorly toddler. They informed us of the service we could be getting & the next stage of our visit. They also said we don't mess around when it comes to kiddies & they will get a thorough checking over. They decided that a evening duty GP would be the next course of action. We were promptly shown the way & there we had another little wait to see them. Again another, caring doctor who was again very thorough & reassuring about the symptoms etc. Our toddler was examined as expected & mines put to rest. They did say we could stay if we wanted & our toddler be observed on a children's ward but because our toddler was already on medication to deal with issues they were confident that the situation would improve. If not they said don't hesitate & come back to see us if your worried. Excellent service from all the staff we came into to contact with & very impressed too of the speed of seeing genuine sickness to be worried about. Well done!
