About: Ealing Perinatal Mental Health Team

(as a service user),

I have remained well throughout my pregnancy and since my baby was born. I believe that this is largely due to the ongoing support that I have received from the team, in particular Samantha, my nurse.

I have been treated with respect, and sheer empathy and i have had a say in my care, my views have been listened to and anything that I have not understood has been explained clearly to me. Initially, I was nervous about my pre-birth planning meetings; however it was conducted sensitively and was not really as daunting as I had feared.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Samantha, who has gone above and beyond her duties and has provided exceptional support with care and has respected my dignity at all time. I feel that I have been supported in such a way that I will continue on my journey as a stronger more confident person.

The perinatal period is such a crucial transitioning time for women. We're so glad you received the right support for you which has made significant difference to your experience.

We will continue to support women in this period to the best of our ability and ensure consistency across the service as a whole.
