"Mental healthcare"

About: Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

(as a service user),

My experience at Pilgrim was excellent I was admitted with attempted suicide on 2 occasions within a few days of each other.

On the second occasion I was seen by a psychiatrist who said that I could go into the Crisis house at Boston under the mental health team at pilgrim hospital. I agreed and when discharged I was then taken to the Crisis house at Witham Bank Boston for a weeks stay then returned home. And with the help from the Crisis team recovered on my own. I was referred to Steps to Change for help CBT therapy but was waiting 4 months with no appointment and so went private through the help from my employer. By then I was well on the road to recovery but after 6 sessions of counselling I am now in a stable frame of mind and getting on with living my life.

If I relapse I have the tools to overcome any stress put upon me through mindfulness and relaxation therapy.
