My feet hurt when I walk, my doctor eventually said they would send me to a podiatrist, some weeks late appointment came through, I then had a bad accident whereby I was not walking at all, so altered the appointment 3 times, eventually saying to myself I must go or I ill loose appointment to see someone if I did not go. Went for the appointment where I was seen by the ICAT team (The Integrated Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service) instead of the original Podiatrist appointment because when I phoned the person at the other end initially they did not read my notes properly and just made the appointments to the ICAT team. So I feel like I have wasted my time and I could have been on holiday and wasted a NHS appointment and now have to start over again. The people at the ICAT appointment I have to contact them again and make another appointment for the Podiatrist Team, which means I have to wait yet again.
Luckily for me I am still not able to walk far due to accident so I will wait for another appointment as I need to walk some distance to see how my ankle feels when walking properly again.
But I think staff somewhere need to read notes correctly when altering appointments otherwise it is a waste of time and money for you and me.
