My brother was rushed into James Cook Hospital. He was eventually located on ward 31. The staff on the ward cared for him as if he was one of their own. Unfortunately he died, this happened during the incredible snow storms of 2018. I live 50 miles from the hospital, I don’t drive and due to the awful weather I couldn’t get a taxi, bus or train. When I received that much dreaded call the nurse who had been caring for him for those 5 days was upset but she was an angel. Due to my travel problems she put me at ease and informed me he would stay at the hospital until things got sorted and travel was easier. Firstly I’d like to thank all of the staff on ward 31 JCH and from a personal perspective I’d like to THANK NURSE JENNY “You truly are an ANGEL. ” Thank you for your care, compassion and gentle nature. xxxx
